Randy Pausch is dead

A friend of mine from CMU sent me a youtube link one day. It was the last lecture of Randy Pausch - this professor who had been recently diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer. He had decided to give his last lecture, so that he could concentrate on his family and spend more time with them. And what a lecture it was! He spoke about his life in general, his childhood memories, what he had dreamt of and what dreams he ended up fulfilling. From winning soft toys in amusement parks to working for Disney to experiencing weightlessness. It was wonderful watching the video. Some of his one liners were simply amazing. One of my favorites was - "Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted". He actually did push-ups on the podium to prove he was in good shape. The only time some emotion crept into his voice was when he spoke about his wife and three kids. It was one of the best lectures I have ever seen.

Today I read he was no longer with us. It made me sad. I pray for him and his family. Hope they are happy and remain so forever...
