The lecture of my life

I sat for the lecture of my life today. We had Avi Silberschatz in college today. He gave us a lecture on future of advanced systems. It was simply amazing. This was one of the few times that I have felt that I am in the right field! I just did not know how two hours passed. It was great. Just great.
The lecture hall was overcrowded. We had our professors - past and present attending the lecture. One thing that I learnt from the lecture was that all great men have vision. You need to understand a technology, apply it and most importantly, realize where it is headed. Avi spoke about where he thinks the future lies, and it made a lot of sense.
The lecture ended and there was a tremendous applause. We all clapped heartily. Then we had donut hour hosted by Professor IV. The food was delicious. I had a great time. We need professors like Abvi here. I will look forward to each day of my life just to attend the lectures. Shocking ( for an ass like me) but true. Very true.
